Technical content developer M365 Engineer
Location: Remote
Long term contract on W2 (Pay rate $38/hr )
You'll be joining a team of IT admins, designers, developers and content writers to create step-by-step guides, AI powered chat bots, and tools to speed up the deployment and adoption of Microsoft 365 services. As a Technical Content Developer, you'll brainstorm and test IT automation, lead user research studies, and write instructional content that is concise, engaging, and appropriate for IT admins.
The experienced and versatile technologist we seek must come complete with real-world experience in technical selling, consulting, designing, planning, developing, or implementing Cloud solutions in customer environments. This candidate also needs to exhibit a passion for saving time through automation, and ideally, has experience as a content developer (training or documentation), technical writer/trainer, technical support, or as a technical presenter/speaker.?
Responsibilities:
Simplify technically complex concepts and details from multiple sources into consumable content that drives user actions.
Evaluate new technologies, features, and products, and curate existing content assets, create net-new content, and/or update existing content based on technical and industry changes.
Use test labs and virtual machines in Azure.
Use WYSIWYG editing tools to draft, structure, and publish content according to Microsoft's style guides and standards.
Build effective working relationships with technical SMEs to efficiently gather content information and feedback.
Ensure stakeholders are clear on project requirements and schedules.
Use Azure DevOps to manage the content development schedule from concept and research all the way through final development and promotion.
Track user research studies, design experiments, and respond to customer feedback.
Qualifications:
Understand the technical challenges IT admins face when migrating to and setting up cloud services.
Hands on troubleshooting, support, or engineering experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
Strong writing and/or editing skills; excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; markdown language a plus.
Must enjoy working with remote teams in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
Nice to have:
Experience developing ideas for and implementing automated IT solutions .

Creating or customizing PowerShell scripts
Experience with Workflow automation tools like Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow ) and Power Apps , Zapier, or Integromat
Automating desktop deployments with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Intune, Microsoft System Center products ( Configuration Manager, Data protection Manager, Operations Manager, Orchestrator, Virtual Machine Man ager) or 3 rd party tools
Implementing Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR ) and Security Information and Event Management ( SIEM) tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Swimlane, Siemplify, Splunk Phantom, CyberSponse .
Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like UIPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere
A solid understanding of the pain-points that IT admins experience when managing or migrating to Microsoft 365 .
Hands on experience migrating to or managing M365 services
Experience writing technical documentation about M365 services
Experience supporting IT administrators via phone or chat
Experience visually representing and sharing ideas
Experience with apps like Microsoft Visio, Whiteboard, PowerPoint, Miro, Invision, MindGenius, Creately, Whimsical
Ability to write instructional content while adhering to Microsoft's standards and style guides
Experience writing technical or training content in personal or professional life
Experience with collaborative writing of any type of content
Experience using style guides, scripts, or guidelines in customer facing communications like email, posts, chats
