    Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing has an outstanding opportunity for a Value Analysis Portfolio Manager - IT .

    WORK SCHEDULE

    • 100% FTE, Days

    • 8:00 am - 5 pm, Hybrid Work Schedule

    • Mondays - Fridays POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

    • Serve as part of the UW Medicine Value Analysis team that supports supply chain, clinical value analysis, and in particular, will be focus on the value analysis work that supports Clinical Products and Smart Innovation (CPSI) and Purchased Services Oversight Committee (PSOC) initiatives concentrating on the review and assessment of Information Technology products and services across the UW Medicine system.

    • As part of the Value Analysis team, responsible for cost containment efforts, standardization, and utilization practices to support the goals of high quality care and improved outcomes along with financial responsibility.

    • This position will chair/co-chair committee(s) that will focus on IT standardization activity DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine Supply Chain's objective is to ensure our patient care experience is enhanced by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise. This includes a primary focus on customer service, as well as maintaining appropriate levels of general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout each facility. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Facilitates and leads system and entity specific IT projects related to UW Medicine Supply Chain and IT Services process improvement, enhanced quality, and cost savings projects across UW Medicine including; Harborview Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center NW & ML, UW Primary Care Clinics, Airlift Northwest, and Shared Services.

    • Manage projects as assigned. Lead process improvement efforts as assigned. Leads project teams of non direct reports consisting of Supply Chain staff and stakeholders, direct, and manage non-labor contracting for UW Medicine Clinical Operations.

    • Works closely with members of the UWM ITS staff and leadership, individual hospital IT leads/professionals, administrators, project managers, departmental heads, etc. to ensure that projects are selected and managed in the best overall interests of UW Medicine.

    • Acts as resource with all appropriate IT leaders at the system level to develop, coordinate and integrate cost management initiatives and efficiencies by assisting with program development, data collection, and analysis, implementation, monitoring and follow-up.

    • Identifies cost savings opportunities for IT related products currently in use through review and analysis of group purchasing contracts, UW Academy/Campus agreements and market data.

    • Monitors IT related supply and service utilization and purchase patterns on a routine basis; compiles reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for addition/deletion of products and/or process changes to reduce operation cost and ensure continuity of supply

    • Partner with Portfolio Managers to lead and track the cost savings and product adoption processes for the CPSI and PSOC committees, as well as any other system level or entity level product committees.

    • Owns and supports our contracting process, taking the lead on negotiating from a business perspective to standardize approach with the goal of reducing costs and risk. Coordinates and facilitates RFPs, supports product reviews/evaluations and standardization of IT related products and services. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in a healthcare, Supply Chain or other quantitative field

    • Four to five years of experience in procurement, value analysis, or supply chain supporting clinically integrated departments

    • Knowledge of IT, medical terminology, hospital operations, and items used in a hospital.
