Your primary responsibilities will be to drive instrument sales to assigned customers in the Process Automation & Manufacturing Industries for Emerson's Measurement Solutions Group. Primary products of responsibility include industry leading pressure, level, temperature, wireless, and flow measurement instrumentation, as well as their associated services. You will play a meaningful role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. In this position, you will partner with customers in a broad range of manufacturing industries to make the world healthier, safer and more sustainable. This is a remote field-based position located within the territory.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

    • Work closely as a strategic partner with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend solutions that will maintain and grow sales within your established territory.

    • Regularly perform territory analysis and planning, provide sales forecasts, and conduct market research.

    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensure consistent follow-up, and closure of sales opportunities.

    • Develop a deep understanding of Emerson's Measurement Solutions product portfolio to conduct effective sales presentations and demonstrations to customers.

    • Use internal sales enablement and CRM tools to prospect effectively, update sales activities, and maintain an efficient sales cycle.

    • Successfully provide sales solutions independently and collaboratively across teams

    • "Go Boldy" with proven sales strategies to promote and showcase the value proposition of Emerson's Measurement Solutions products and services

    Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets within an established territory.

    • Identify new business opportunities and market trends and capitalize on them to drive revenue growth.

    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensure consistent follow-up and closure of sales opportunities.

    • Partner with OEMs and Engineering firms to drive business at end user plants all over the world.

    • Identify areas of opportunity to displace competition.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.

    • Understand customer needs, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions that align with their requirements.

    • Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Sales Reporting and Forecasting:

    • Prepare regular sales reports, including sales activity, customer feedback, and market trends analysis.

    • Provide accurate sales forecasts and participate in the annual budgeting process.

    Industry Knowledge and Product Expertise:

    • Stay up to date with manufacturing and automation industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies related to the Measurement Solutions Group.

    • Develop a deep understanding of Measurement Solutions product portfolio.

    Conduct Product Presentations and Demonstrations to Customers:

    • Showcasing the value proposition of Emerson's products and solutions.

    FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience.

    • 3 years of Industrial experience.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust, and close deals.

    • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Technical proficiency with the ability to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems.

    • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

    • Valid driver's license.

    • Ability to travel within territory as required, including 0%-10% minimal overnight stays..

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

    • Instrumentation knowledge/experience.

    • Track record of effective prospecting and new customer acquisition

    • Proficiency in using CRM software, and sales-related tools.

    Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $67,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role. This position also participates in a quarterly bonus plan and profit sharing, and includes a company vehicle, cellphone, laptop, and expense account.
