    Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

    The Work

    As an Analyst for the GWS A&D SPA DAT team you will be an individual contributor in an Agile environment supporting the GWS program by building analysis tools in a common repo using Python, performing deep dive analysis on internal tests at a system level, performing GMD Ground Tests, performing GMD Flight Tests, and providing technical performance measures.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship

    • Bachelor's degree in STEM related field with a minimum of 10 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of related experience for Principal Engineer.

    • Recent extensive knowledge of Python and MATLAB

    • Recent experience in developing code in a Dev Ops environment using Bitbucket or GitHub

    • Experience in an Agile environment.

    • Experience in both Windows and Unix OS environments.

    • Demonstrated Communication skills.

    • Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full time.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with Radar Analysis

    • Experience with GMD Ground Tests and Flight Tests

    • Experience with GoLong and Cython

    • Experience with requirements development/collaboration

    • Exposure to GMD

    • Small team leadership and mentoring skills

    • Exposure to Stimulation and Simulation Software

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
