    Job Description

    ? Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, and initiatives

    ? Supervises OR supply chain staff activities for designated OR supply areas within Surgical Services, including flow of products and special items request across all service lines. Oversees daily requisitioning and replenishment of supplies in the operating room

    ? Responsible for improving efficiencies in receiving, storage, supply replenishment, determining cost control, quality control, and new product feasibility

    ? Coordinates overnight/2nd day STAT orders to ensure monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met or exceeded

    ? Ensures timely processing of all Bill Only requisitions to meet or exceed KPI targets

    ? Assists OR Manager with consignment inventory according to policy

    ? Participates in Value Analysis process and meetings

    ? Follows policy on procurement of capital purchases

    ? Works with CRD on product special requests. Follows process flow from value analysis, to trial to purchase

    ? Participates in budgetary meetings for Operating Room spend

    ? Assists OR Manager with generating reports for finance and OR leadership to identify cost savings

    ? Assists OR Manager in the reconciliation of spend vs. volume for the OR

    ? Reviews current department practices to assure system policies and procedures are being followed

    ? Performs monthly inspections, rounding in all areas managed by the OR supply chain team. Performs monthly documented audit of products with expiration dates to avoid waste and financial loss.

    ? Identifies stalled inventory. Creates a plan to repurpose, sell or donate stalled inventory according to policy.

    ? Assists OR Manger in providing monthly detailed reports to the site finance team summarizing expired and stalled good with descriptions, MFR, model number, quantity, cost and disposition.

    ? Assists OR Manager and SSCD in facilitating physical inventories; segregates and labels consignment inventory.

    ? Performs delegated tasks and special projects as assigned by OR Manager and SSCD

    ? Collaborates with reimbursement to identify billing invoices needed for revenue integrity

    ? Oversees personnel functions including training to achieve maximum staff productivity using automated systems to reduce supply chain expense

    ? Acts as a subject matter expert for special projects, including training support in PeopleSoft. Supports OR Manager and SSCD with project management requests, as well as special invoice reconciliation concerns.

    ? Assist OR Manger in daily meetings with OR scheduling and charge nurse to proactively plan for supply needs in all upcoming cases. Discusses any special needs with service line leaders and reviews any product concerns.

    ? Prepares for upcoming cases by obtaining and reviewing surgery booking sheet and schedule two weeks out and daily as needed.

    ? Participates in tracking and monitoring all recalls for surgical services using the ECRI tool as well as other notifications. Works with risk management to identify recalled items by department following the policy for recalls.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of supply chain experience

    • Strong and professional communication

    • Healthcare experience preferred
