The Sr Director Manufacturing will be responsible for the strategy, leadership, and oversight of manufacturing operations. This role involves driving operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
D uties and Responsibilities of the Position:
Develop and implement the strategic vision for manufacturing operations aligned with the overall business objectives.
Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing managers and supervisors.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Optimize resource allocation, including human capital, equipment, and materials.
Ensure the efficient use of resources to meet production targets.
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Develop and manage the manufacturing budget.
Implement best practices to optimize manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Implement safety programs and training initiatives.
Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Participate in the development of new products and processes.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of manufacturing operations.
Analyze data to drive informed decision-making. Performs other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
12+ years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
7+ years of management experience.
