Software Test Engineer

Description

Our group is responsible for developing custom software and hardware solutions used in the testing and building of products on production lines throughout the Toro organization. We are looking for a new graduate with some prior object oriented programming experience to provide support to our plants during system deployments and daily production. Will be located at the company headquarters in Bloomington, MN but will be expected to travel to regional sites once to twice a month for a couple days at a time.

Title: Software Engineer (MFG. Test)

• Provide remote support for custom manufacturing software to assembly plants across the US

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements.

• Perform analysis of project requirements to estimate complexity and duration of tasks.

• Periodically travel to assembly plants for hardware and software deployments as well as support.

• Write, debug, test and maintain applications to functionally test and program products via CAN interfaces.

Qualifications

• Internship - 3 years 'experience Bachelor's or Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

• Programming experience in C#, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.

Nice-To-Haves:

Experience with CAN communication protocols (J1939, CANOpen, CAN FD)

Experience with Database development and maintenance

Experience with MES systems

Familiarity with development for manufacturing applications

Experience using Git and SVN
