Software Engineering Project Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead-support software engineering activities from pursuit of new business, through award and design development, to launch.

• Lead AUTOSAR based software development projects including functional safety and cyber security SW scope.

• Planning of project goals with stakeholders such as EPMs, system leaders and SWE teams

• Coordination and execution of SW releases, incl. change request and debugging cycles.

• Lead and support risk management.

• Detailed project tracking and reporting

• Ensuring the efficient processing of work packages while adhering to quality, budget, Performance, and timing goals.

• Ensuring that all process artifacts for the ASPICE SWE processes as well as the SW-specific artifacts for SW project management are available on time and in good quality and presentation of these in assessments.

• Lead software subproject teams from locations in USA, Germany, and India as well as external employees and suppliers: Primary technical contact and software engineering.

• Representative for all software teams to provide direction.

• Analyze and gather electrical and software requirements related to the ECU System.

• Finalize architecture and concept design to meet business and customer needs.

• Finalize and agree work packages for Software functions, Software features, Software modules' development with internal and external developers/teams. using software development processes along with supporting disciplines.

• Plan and carry out internal and external reviews and signoffs.

• Lead and support status reporting to customer and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of industry experience with an Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics or equivalent.

• Proven track record in managing software projects in the automotive industry for 2+ years, incl. team lead activities.

• Working experience with development of automotive embedded software. Hands-on experience with C, C++, Mahworks, in Automotive ECUs: preferably in powertrain or chassis applications.

• Solid understanding and experience in AUTOSAR, ISO 26262 Functional Safety and Cyber Security in the context of Base Software

• Working experience in Agile methodologies, V-Model, and ASPICE.

• Willingness for occasional business trips

• Flexibility and autonomous working

• Must be fluent in English.

• Must be able to work and travel independently.
