Description
SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats.
SAIC is seeking an experienced Software Directorate Manager in support of our United States Air Force customer. The successful candidate will develop creative new solutions and capabilities for military platforms. This position will assist in the design and develop front-end user interfaces that integrate with cloud-based software systems that align with modern DevSecOps and Agile processes.
Writes program code, compiles, debugs, tests, deploys, documents, and implements software for new and existing systems
Integrate COTs and GOTs products
Deployment of Cloud based applications to On-Prem environments
Maintain quality and consistency through peer and code reviews
Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
Help bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
Write user stories and test plans
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's and (14) years or more experience; Master's and twelve (12) years or more experience. PhD or JD and 9+ years.
US Citizenship and a DOD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Exceptional knowledge and experience in front-end application development, design, and software patterns using technologies such as: JavaScript, jQuery, Firebug and JavaScript frameworks (React, Redux, Angular, NodeJS, etc.), RESTful Web services, Java, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, ES6 & Typescript
Experience implementing RESTful microservices, with a focus on scaling, decoupling, resilience, reusability of components
Experience with Interface Description Language (IDL) standards such as OpenAPI, AsyncAPI
Experience with integrating Open Mission Systems Universal, Universal Command and Controll 2.0+ Experience with integrating NGA Mapping Services, ArcGIS, Map Servers, ESRI Mapping Services
Experience using code repositories that support distributed version control systems (DVCS) such as GitLab, Bitbucket
Experience with integrating VM based on-prem applications to AWS and Azure cloud environments
Familiarity with Agile software development practices, processes, and tools (e.g. SAFe, JIRA, Confluence)
Experience with DevSecOps practices such as continuous integration and development tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab Runners)
