We are looking for an experienced individual for our Forklift Operator position for a corrugated box manufacturing company located in Lakewood, Washington. The person(s) in this position will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of a forklift in the box plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Move materials across the warehouse using forklifts and pallet jacks

• Load and unload inventory from incoming trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Verify the accuracy of items in manifests for incoming and outgoing trucks

• Organize materials around the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility

• Handle material inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations

• Identify, hold, and segregate defective or damaged materials

• Complete paperwork as required, following work instructions meticulously

• Report unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures to management

• Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations

Qualifications

• 2 recent years of sit down forklift experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred

• Forklift certification is a plus

• attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
