  • ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Director of Capture Excellence to join our growing BD organization in Reston, VA.

    The Senior Director of Capture Excellence must thrive in an environment where she/he is responsible for the management and execution of multiple tasks and working across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals. The Senior Director of Capture Excellence works directly with the VP of CE and the SVP of BD to refine and enhance our Capture Excellence and Proposal infrastructure.

    Characteristics necessary for success include the ability to gain internal support and the ability to establish and maintain a solid working relationship with senior leaders, technical staff, managers, and peers. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. This position will be part of the Capture Excellence organization.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will support and implement all areas of responsibility within Capture Excellence to include:

    • Process and Policy refresh

    • Updates to Gate templates

    • Lesson's Learned

    • Lead Corporate/Enterprise Captures

    • Conduct/coordinate training sessions

    • BOEs, Capture, Proposal Dev, Proposal writing, etc

    • Lead offer designs/strategy sessions (partnered with CTO)

    As part of this role, the candidate will support the Capture Excellence mission to engage capture teams and provide guidance, tools and training needed to cost-effectively pursue and win new business. This includes workshops, collaboration sessions and reviews. As a senior director of capture management you will also be required to lead complex captures with significant strategic value to the enterprise.

    Position requires the ability to work vertically and horizontally across organizational boundaries, provide BD leadership/mentorship and guidance to operational organizations and interface with BD, Line and functional personnel supporting proposal development and business capture processes. Duties include, but are not limited to strategic planning; aiding / coaching / mentoring; identifying, prioritizing, scheduling, and accomplishing tasks to continually enhance the BD/capture process.

    Requirements :

    • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience

    • Candidate should demonstrate a successful background in both large new business deals and emerging markets; as well as the ability to collaboratively support program team(s) leadership

    • Have proven experience with complex IT, networks, and communications systems

    • 15+ years related experience working in a civilian and/or DoD government contracting environment with a board stroke of experience from operations, project management, contracting, teaming, strategic plan development, subcontractor management, teaming strategies and business development

    • Strong demonstration of organization skills, written & orals presentations

    • 10+ years successful experience in interacting with customers as well as company senior executives

    • 7+ years developing capture strategies for new business opportunities with demonstrated experience with winning opportunities over $250M

    • Must have the ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical people, written and verbally
