    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Senior Clinical Analyst is responsible for providing informatics expertise on the clinical documentation strategy for Care Transformation & Innovation (CT&I). This role will evaluate new documentation technologies and workflows to realize transformation in healthcare delivery, with a focus on clinical user experience. This role will work with the CT&I team, leaders and colleagues at HCA Healthcare innovation sites to enable iterative testing and development, and prepare implementation teams for enterprise-wide deployment of CT&I products. The Senior Clinical Analyst will drive the analysis of clinical processes and technology use, design configurations, and assess impacts to clinical process workflow. This individual will be responsible for engaging field operations and creating documentation that details operational and clinical considerations related to EHR use. The position requires a deep understanding and appreciation for health care operations and an ability to drive work across departments to engage experts to evaluate impacts of new workflows and features on corporate initiatives, policies, and utilization. Additionally, this individual will monitor facility utilization, compliance, and provider satisfaction to ensure successful adoption.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate new documentation technologies and workflows to realize transformation in healthcare delivery, with a focus on clinical user experience.

    • Work with the CT&I team, leaders and colleagues at HCA Healthcare innovation sites to enable iterative testing and development, and prepare implementation teams for enterprise-wide deployment of CT&I products.

    • Drive the analysis of clinical processes and technology use, design configurations, and assess impacts to clinical process workflow.

    • Engage field operations and create documentation that details operational and clinical considerations related to EHR use.

    • Monitor facility utilization, compliance, and provider satisfaction to ensure successful adoption.

    • Conduct usability testing and user interviews to gather feedback on clinical user experience.

    • Analyze usability testing data and identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Develop and implement recommendations for improving clinical user experience.

    • Work with product teams to design and implement new features and functionality that improve clinical user experience.

    • Provide training and support to clinical users on how to use new features and functionality.

    Qualifications:

    • College Degree and 3-7 years related experience. Hospital clinical experience required.

    • Experience with EHRs (Meditech, EPIC, Cerner, etc.) documentation and ordering functionality & content.

    • Experience leading informatics initiatives (implementations, evaluation, process improvement, design, etc.)

    • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal

    • Able to work effectively with leaders at all levels in an organization

    • Excellent active listening skills

    • Problem solving using analytical and critical thinking

    • Root cause identification skills

    • Ability to understand and learn clinical and technology workflows

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • Advanced computer skills and advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products

    • Ability to learn how to navigate Meditech and other CSG systems

    • Experience with usability testing and user experience design

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Exposure to SQL
