  • Position : Security Architect Manager

    Location : Ohio, OH

    Job Purpose :

    As a Security Architect Manager you'll play a dual role, shaping the security landscape and leading a team of skilled security engineers. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our corporate environment while guiding and mentoring your team.

    Essential Functions :

    Security Architecture and Design:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain multilevel Information Security solutions, policies, and procedures.

    • Ensure that our security architecture aligns with industry best practices and organizational requirements.

    • Continuously assess and enhance existing security frameworks.

    • Evaluating new security technologies and solutions.

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead a team of security engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with business goals.

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

    Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

    • Conduct risk assessments, architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, and Red Team exercises.

    • Investigate emerging threats and technologies, adapting our security strategies accordingly.

    • Formulate strategies to address weaknesses in our security posture.

    Business Collaboration and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Collaborate with software vendors, negotiating contracts and assessing system upgrades.

    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational security requirements.

    • Balance technical work with business management tasks.

    Education:

    Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

    Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

    • ISC2 CISSP, CISM, CCSP

    • Advanced GIAC/SANS certifications - GCIH, GCIA, GCFE, GCFA, GREM, GWAPT, GPEN, GSE

    Experience:

    • 7-10 years of professional experience

    Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • 5+ years of experience in senior-level information security roles involving Security Architecture, Security Engineering, or Risk Management

    • 2+ years of experience leading a team.

    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

    • Knowledge of NIST 800-53 Framework, DISA STIGs, regulatory compliance regulations - PCI-DSS, Sarbanes-Oxley, and awareness of industry standards and best practices.

    • Working knowledge and experience with standard security solutions and architectures.

    • Working knowledge of common application, web, databases, and network architectures.

    Supervisory Responsibility :

    This position has one or more employee direct reports. You will direct security engineers.

    Work Environment :

    The work is performed remotely or in an office environment.
