Reliability Engineer

PDS Tech Commercial Inc. is looking for a Reliability Engineer for an aerospace client in Everett, WA. In this position you will help design, certify, and support commercial airplanes by applying state-of-art reliability and maintainability engineering design, modeling, and analysis principles.

Job Title: Reliability Engineer

Job Type: Full time; Consultant ( 12 Months )

Location: Everett, WA (onsite)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Pay Rate: $62-$72 per hour

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry

• 8 or more years' related work experience in the reliability engineering field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with propulsion or airplane systems

• Reliability engineering experience.

• Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) experience.

• Commercial Airplane Certification experience

Responsibilities:

• Use modeling, simulation and data analytics methodologies & tools including statistical and probabilistic analyses

• Serve as a technical specialist supporting other functional design groups during all stages of the airplane product development and support lifecycle

• Responsible for aiding in determining program technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability & maintenance cost

• Provide support in the following areas

• Design for Reliability & Safety (airplane and system design reliability requirements validation & verification, reliability requirements allocation to suppliers, failure modes, rates, effects, propagation and detection analysis, architecture & operational provisions, safety & certification analysis, certification support, reliability & durability testing)

• Interaction with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management is typical, as is a high level of communication between the rest of the R&M Engineering internal organization, program teams, and functional design areas. Team involvement and individual effort, problem solving, and managing multiple actions and assignments will be regular duties for an R&M engineer

Pay Details: $62.00 to $72.00 per hour
