Quality Assurance Tester

Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced QA Tester with 2-5 years of expertise in Automated testing. The ideal candidate should be ready to contribute to our team efforts and make significant impacts on our client's systems' reliability and functionality. This is a remote, contract opportunity and will be 2-3 years in length. No C2C or third party vendors please. EST preferred.

Responsibilities:

Testing and Quality Assurance: - Implement testing plans, including unit tests, integration tests, and functional tests. - Develop and execute test cases in collaboration with stakeholders to validate the performance, functionality, and reliability of code. - Document and report bugs, defects, and issues identified during testing. - Carry out functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing to ensure all project requirements are met.

Collaboration: - Collaborate with development teams, product owners, architects, and managers to understand coding requirements. - Assist in verifying and enhancing bug fixes. - Actively participate in sprint planning, standup, and demo meetings, providing critical insights and suggestions.

Test Planning and Execution: - Participate in the planning and strategizing of tests, contributing valuable insights to improve processes and workflows. - Execute test cases and scenarios comprehensively.

Defect Management: - Detect and document defects and issues in translated code and POS systems, coordinating with development teams for timely resolutions.

Test Automation: - Contribute to automating test efforts, including creating and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks. - Suggest improvements in processes, tool enhancements, and best practices related to testing and quality assurance. Requirements Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or the equivalent. - 2-5 years testing experience, preferably in Python development projects and code translation initiatives. - Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing principles and methodologies. - Familiarity with Python or similar testing tools and frameworks. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent team player with strong communication skills. - Detail-oriented and self-motivated detail oriented with a desire to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Preferred Skills: - Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. - Experience with remote deployments, troubleshooting, and support. - Experience with test management tools. - Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
