    Summary

    The Quality Assurance Manager ensures products produced at GRS facilities are in accord with current GRS, Customer and applicable statutory or regulatory requirements. Also assists or performs any required quality related training, writes and/or updates procedures, assists in internal and external audits, and develops root cause and corrective actions for reported non-conformances.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

    • Follows all EHS rules and regulations

    • Supports the development of employees through quality assurance training

    • Advises Plant Manager regarding quality training needs for employees and subcontractors, as needed

    • Creates and maintains a master list of documents to ensure all quality documents used at GRS facilities are the latest revision

    • Reviews facility audit responses and assist with corrective action plans

    • Reviews and/or submit rework data

    • Writes and revises facility quality documents

    • Ensures proper documentation have been submitted, signed off and all associated forms completed before product shipment

    • Ensures all applicable quality revisions are communicated to all affected personnel and outside contractors

    • Ensures all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements are followed

    Qualifications

    The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 5 years of related experience or equivalent and working knowledge of machines/tools used in the rail industry

    • Ability to help others learn and develop

    • Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality and sensitive information

    • Ability to organize and prioritize projects and information with accuracy, under tight timeframes, to meet organizational needs

    • Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SmartSheet

    • Working knowledge of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and The Association of American Railroads (AAR) regulations
