    Job Responsibilities/Duties

    Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks a Project Manager who will manage IT Software and Hardware Projects, assist senior project managers within the company and perform on those projects. The Project Manager will cultivate business relationships as it pertains to improving and/or advancing technology/services, and proactively work with customers and vendors to determine needs, objectives, and strategies. This position will be responsible for all aspects of planning and implementation of assigned technology related projects.

    The Project Manager's responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Under minimal administrative direction, applies an extensive and diversified knowledge of Project Management principles and practices in assignments and related work

    • Manage the implementation of technology solutions included but not limited to scope, schedule and cost

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones

    • Interface with all areas affected by the project and work with diverse business groups and customers to gather requirements

    • Provide support in assignments related to maintaining and supporting business needs

    • Schedule fundamentals, asset creation, cost tracking and subcontracts management

    • Develop documentation and deliver training in the fundamentals of various technologies

    • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

    • Assist in developing processes and procedures

    • Manage projects from the feasibility phase through initiation, planning, execution/deployment and close out

    • Contributes to development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

    • Develop solutions to resolve technology/project issues

    • Comply with WRPS policies and procedures

    • Ensure Integrated Environment Safety and Health Management System principals are incorporated in the organization's activities

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    Grade 19

    A bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; and

    9 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    *Must be able to attain STSA (Software Technical Support Analyst) Certification within 9 months of hire.

    Grade 20

    A bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; and

    10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    *Must be able to attain STSA (Software Technical Support Analyst) Certification within 9 months of hire.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience in the following areas: Documenting customer software/hardware requirements, software development strategy and execution including both waterfall and agile, development of SQA system documentation including test plans, testing strategies and test results.

    • Experience with infrastructure technology solutions and managing the implementation of those solutions

    • Experience with contracts/procurement

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

    • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

    • Experience with contracts and/or writing Statements of Work (SOW)

    • Experience with software quality assurance

    • Experience with Software Review Board (SRB) and/or Production Readiness Review Board (PRRB), and/or Systems Engineering Control Board (SECB)

    • WRPS Software Technical Support Analyst (STSA) Certification

    Hiring Range Minimum: $114,475

    Hiring Range Maximum: $144,325

    In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
