Overview
We at M Health Fairview are looking for a Nursing Station Technician at the Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN! This position is 48 hours every two weeks on the Day/ Night shift, for 12 hour shifts, and every third weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more. The starting base rate of pay for the position is $22.00. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.

At Fairview Northland Medical Center the Med Surg unit consists of medical and surgical, pediatrics, and adult Intensive Care patients. The Med/Surg/Peds unit consists of 22 beds and the ICU has 4 beds. We have 43 nurses, 12 nursing assistants, and 1 HUC. Responsibilities Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
The Nursing Station Technician (NST) will work under direction of nursing personnel to deliver patient care. Duties may include: patient cares, vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights, transporting, care of environment (by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining rooms). An NST may work as a patient care attendant.
Duties Include:
Performs delegated nursing functions to assigned patients including personal care, ambulation, exercise, nutrition, specimen collection and vital signs.
Performs special procedures (eg: skin care) as defined by patient care unit practice guidelines.
Observes patients and reports any changes in status to appropriate staff.
Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team.
Performs environmental and other responsibilities as assigned.
Accurately maintains the medical record.
Efficiently schedules patient tests and procedures.
Maintains unit communication systems and central desk area.
Actively participates in staff development.
