Network Engineer

Description

Our client is looking to add a network engineer to join their core infrastructure team in Livonia. They need someone with 3-5 years of total experience within the network space. They will be walking into a primarily Cisco shop for route/switch/wireless and then currently have Cisco ASA firewalls as well as Palo Alto to a smaller extent. They have several sites in Livonia that this team is responsible for including 1 plant environment that would require support. Additionally when they convert to permanent they will need to be comfortable with a rare travel trip to a facility in Minnesota, Florida, and Colorado in cases that need to be handled physically there.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Strong networking and also solid interpersonal skills. Job will be on site 5 days a week so need to be good working with a team and then they will be supporting HQ in Livonia + an additional 60 sites tied to their network so need to be good working with teams across the country. They are a smaller - mid size environment and thus want to find someone that has not been in silo'd positions in the past and is eager to learn and take on different responsibilities each day. Ideally would like candidates that aren't coming from large corporations and similar environment's to Roush.
