  • Description: Are you a hands on person who enjoys complex testing and troubleshooting and looking to make a significant impact in the exciting world of microelectronics devices? We're seeking a highly motivated tester to join our production team in the Microelectronics Center at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando, FL facility. You'll be working on the forefront of production activities for our most cutting edge missile and fire control product lines such as the Hellfire II Missile, the Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile, the Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod and the F-35 Sensor. A tester position within manufacturing will set up and operate manual, semi-automatic and automatic test equipment, and troubleshoot using prints, schematics, sketches, and other procedures. Use your critical thinking skills to validate and perform system tests under direction of technical requirements and analyze subsystem failures and malfunctions to ensure we deliver a quality product to our customers. The candidate will work with a strong and dedicated engineering and manufacturing cross-discipline group in conducting in-depth failure investigations and maintaining test equipment to ensure production yields and delivery rates are met.     Perform test functions on electrical hardware.

    1.) Works from prints, schematics, engineering

    changes, wiring diagrams, procedures, sketches, and

    similar documentation of electrical, electronic, and

    other functional subsystems

    2.) Tests, evaluates, and verifies the performance of

    subsystems for conformance with technical and

    operational requirements; validates and performs

    systems tests under direction of technical

    requirements

    3.) Sets up and operates requisite checkout

    equipment, specially designed functional test panels

    and consoles, and other recording devices

    4.) Analyzes subsystems failures and malfunctions to

    determine cause; requests cognizant manufacturing,

    engineering, or quality division for requisite corrective

    action. Performs retest of reworked or modified

    subsystems

    5.) Observes, records, analyzes, verifies and

    interprets sectional and composite instrument and

    panel readings, makes computations and calculations

    requisite to the collation of data and assists in

    locating and eliminating discontinuities and transient

    irregularities caused by test station interference

    6.) Recommends changes in tests and testing

    procedures to facilitate the obtaining of complete and

    accurate test information

    7.) Performs other assigned functions such as

    maintaining pertinent logs and records,

    demonstrating equipment operations and trains other

    technicians as required

    8.) Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift

    as required by the collective bargaining agreement

    Basic Qualifications:

    Ability to use scopes, multimeters, power generators

    in the testing and verification of electrical and

    microelectronic hardware.

    Must be able to follow written procedures and

    policies.

    Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret

    Security Clearance.

    Must have the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift

    according to the collective bargaining agreement.

    Desired Skills:

    Prior experience with microelectronics.

    Prior experience setting up and operating manual,

    semi-automatic and automatic equipment and semi

    automatic and automatic test equipment.

    Two year degree in electronics.

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
