Medical Billing Specialist

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist. This role is for a large healthcare client of ours. The role will require you to be adept at handling various billing functions, claim administration, and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Handle medical billing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Verify insurance details and follow up on payments

• Manage primary care billing and oversee accounts receivable

• Utilize skills in 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Appeals', and 'Claim Administration' to keep track of all transactions

• Ensure all medical billing procedures are compliant with regulatory requirements

• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in billing processes

• Regularly communicate with customers to address inquiries or issues related to billing

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on billing procedures and standards

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Medical Billing

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong knowledge of medical codes, terms, and procedures

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems

• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and procedures, especially Medicare and Medicaid

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
