    Job Description:

    L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility.

    Essential Functions:

    • Sets up basic manufacturing apparatus and completes assembly following methods, procedures, standards, and operations sequences.

    • Ability to work from both oral and written English instructions, engineering drawings, and blueprints.

    • Able to personally lift and carry up to 32 lbs.

    • Physical effort will range from light to heavy lifting and may include occasional heavy team lifting to 75 lbs. standing, bending, kneeling, & stooping.

    • Documents assembly data and results, provides initial documentation of failed products.

    • Works to achieve operational targets within the functional area.

    • Able to work in both team and individual contributor roles, with minimal supervision.

    • Participate in continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality, cost, and schedule or other items of value to the business.

    • Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times as detailed in company policy and procedure.

    • Willing to work overtime as required.

    • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Knowledgeable with Microsoft suite and personal computing devices.

    • Familiar with electronics manufacturing processes, including soldering, hand tools, and ESD practices.

    • Experience in working with coating, potting, and bonding materials.

    • IPC 610/620 Certification.
