    GENERAL SUMMARY

    Provides the leadership and supervision for the Maintenance Planning program. This group is responsible for planning all maintenance activities as well as activities for other organizations, all in support of the Strategic Objectives of Energy Northwest (EN). Responsible for providing a quality product based on current expectations and revision of those expectations based on changing industry standards and feedback from the end-user.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    1. Supervise Maintenance Planning personnel:

    2. Make personnel decisions regarding employment, performance ratings, promotions, salary actions, transfers, and terminations.

    3. Resolve personnel problems (exempt and non-bargaining).

    4. Establish clear performance expectations. Write performance evaluations for direct reports.

    2.Supervise the following Maintenance Planning functions:

    • Prepare, implement, and manage the Maintenance Planning budget. Report variances. Continually strategize to decrease department expenditures and meet Energy Northwest's goals and objectives.

    • Assist in the establishment of the vision, goals, and standards of performance for maintenance. Look long term to develop effective programs that will enhance the organization's technical and operating performance.

    • Evaluate internal (EN) and external (INPO, NRC, Industry) initiatives to identify potential problems as well as opportunities for improvement. Participate in industry working groups. Recommend initiatives/solutions to Maintenance Services Manager.

    • Participate in self-assessments as required.

    • Ensure planners receive required training. Coordinate training for planners, between the Maintenance Department and Maintenance Training. Act as Chairman of Planner Curriculum Review Committee.

    • Assist in Preventive Maintenance (PM) program development and revision of model work orders. Provide constructive input to the PM Program.

    • Various other programs as assigned.

    3.Support other initiatives:

    • Perform Classroom Observations, OJT/OJE Observations and Field Observations, looking for improvements in the training area and the work process.

    • Provide in-depth instruction as required.

    • Develop and implement performance indicators for the group processes.

    4.Provide duty coverage for Emergency Response Organization (ERO) as requested.

    5.Provide Outage support as requested.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations). OR

    An Associate's degree/Technical degree and a minimum of eight years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations). OR

    High school diploma/GED and a minimum of ten years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations).

    Pay Range

    $108,279.00 - $162,419.00 Annual

    Midpoint

    $135,349.00

    Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

    Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.

    Incentive Compensation

    This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
