    JOB SUMMARY

    Machine Operators are skilled production line professionals who operate and maintain manufacturing equipment to a standard that meets or exceeds our internal and external customer requirements. These essential employees follow all appropriate policies and procedures to ensure their machines and lines run efficiently and quality, safe, productions are available for our customers.

    Rates for Machine Operators range is $22 per hour based on experience and/or machine

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsible for operating various manufacturing machinery (grinders, blenders, slicers, packaging, etc.) in safe manner and in compliance with internal quality and safety procedures

    Make independent adjustments to machine settings to maintain greatest operational efficiency while meeting all food quality and safety measures

    Coordinating daily and weekly PMs with maintenance mechanics and aligning all primary functions of the machinery; collaborating with maintenance on issues related to machinery

    Adhere to production schedule in a timely and accurate manner

    Ensure productivity by adhering to corporate manufacturing practices, standard operating procedures, critical control points and safety practices

    Ensure finished products meet quality specifications by accurately conducting quality checks and sampling as instructed by Supervisor

    Manually records data through chart recording, and makes necessary process adjustments based on data findings

    Clean and sanitize all equipment and facility as required

    Identify potential problems and correct situation or notify supervisor

    Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated controls

    Assist with training fellow team members in a supportive environment

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIE S

    1 - 2 years of high speed production machinery & monitor quality products, preferred

    Previous experience in changeovers and mechanical troubleshooting

    Effective written and verbal communication skills

    Good mechanical ability including the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical abnormalities and to set up and maintain machinery making routine adjustments

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50# repeatedly

    Walking & standing for long periods of time

    Work in damp or cold conditions

    Ability to work 40+ hours per week

    Good Attendance and Safety records

    The schedule for this position is typically Mon - Fri. Weekend work required as scheduled. During Fall Season, Saturdays are typically scheduled.
