Laboratory Supervisor (Quality Control)

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lab Supervisor for a Chemistry Manufacturing Laboratory in Tyler, TX, sitting onsite maximum of 7 days per week if Saturday and Sunday overtime is required. This is a direct hire salaried position. The Lab Supervisor will supervise 7 Chemists and Lab Technicians; directing, coordinating, train, and advising lab personnel in test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials; developing, improving, and customizing products, equipment, and analytical methods; conferring with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results, or develop non-standard tests; interact with the sales and field technical staff to understand their needs; developing and managing product files; and recommending instruments and equipment for the laboratory. Write and maintain methods. The position supervises shift work and in some cases requires flexible hours to effectively manage personnel.

Skills and Requirements

4+ years of experience in laboratory setting, preferably in oil and gas industry, in an analytical or QC laboratory

At least 1 year of supervisory experience

Bachelor of Science degree

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employee

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications null
