    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

    Teledyne is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual with a strong inside sales background to join our team as an Inside Sales Representative. In this pivotal role, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and pre-qualifying a specified dollar-amount of sales opportunities as a service-to and closure-by outside sales.

    This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with related backgrounds who are seeking to join a leading company's technical sales team with opportunity for growth. This role will enable the individual to leverage his/her inside sales skills, competitive drive, and ability to achieve aggressive business goals in an entrepreneurial environment serving pace setting customers of high technology markets. This position involves direct contact with customers, various department's domestic and international personnel, and management.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Primary: Identify/Pre-qualify a specified dollar-amount of sales opportunities as a service-to and closure-by outside sales.

    • Identification & pre-qualification work to be done primarily by phone calls and secondarily by emails and web-conferences.

    • Product/Service focus: Teledyne SP Devices' digitizers and associated product options and services. ~~~/

    • Sales opportunity sourcing from, assigned:

    • Existing customer accounts

    • Post-delivery follow-up

    • Post-delivery warranty extension targets

    • Post-delivery services

    • Abandoned opportunities

    • Leads (new & old)

    • Prospects from marketing's demand generation campaigns

    • Target market accounts (Identify and contact prospects)

    • Record document, communicate sales activities comprehensively in CRM (~~~)

    • Secondary: Sales administration support, as assigned for:

    • Select quotations

    • Select agreements

    • Creating / maintaining select account/opportunity plans

    • Participation in select customer meetings for follow-up actions

    • Customer / factory liaison [for select opportunities]

    • Monitoring RMA shipping to/from factory, coordinate resolution for excursions

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated professional success at:

    • Finding qualified sales prospects in targeted markets

    • Persisting in complex environments to connect with qualified prospects

    • Communicating the value prospect of advanced technology HW/FW/SW products

    • Achieving business goals with minimal supervision

    • Developing sales tactics to address different technology markets served

    • Self-reliance on continually developing product knowledge

    • Leveraging entrepreneurial skills to achieve business goals

    • Achieving business goals when operating outside of your center of proficiency

    • Resolving Conflict

    • BS in business or engineering or equivalent

    • 0-2 of experience/internships and/or pursuing MS

    • High proficiency at verbal and written communication in the English language

    • Working with an international team, with on-going collaboration with US & Europe colleagues (Ideal, not mandatory) Preferred Location

    • Within a 150-mile drive from San Francisco, CA
