    The Siemens Industry, Inc. distribution center in Roebuck, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Switchboard Product Line. Our facility has over 700 employees that produce high-quality, engineered, and make to order power distribution equipment.     As an SWBD Industrial (Manufacturing) Engineer, you will:

    Responsibilities

    • Identify safety / ergonomic concerns & implement solutions to eliminate or mitigate

    • Work in cross-functional teams on safety, quality, productivity, and other projects

    • Observe, analyze, & optimize current work methods / processes.

    • Identify bottle necks and improve process flow using line balancing.

    • Set time standards based on time studies, MTM analysis

    • Utilize data to develop cost and time saving recommendations and modifications to product design, line staffing, and assembly layout.

    • Execute Capital projects as required for larger scale projects

    • Develop standard work instructions to be used as training guidelines for new employees.

    • Communicate methods and results to management and associates.

    • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

    You will have impact if you have the following

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or greater in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably with ETO product, wiring, assembly)

    • Experience in creating work instructions / standard work procedures.

    • Able to interpret or learn to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

    • Strong oral, written communication, and time management skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio

    • CAD experience (AutoCAD preferred).

    • Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

    • SAP (or other ERP) experience a plus

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
