    Job Overview

    This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house. In this role you will be responsible for the Induction position in our Full Case department.

    What you will be doing on a daily basis

    • Loads cartons onto the induction line to fulfill daily production requirements.

    • Accurately applies labels to cartons based on designated work orders.

    • Operates a reach truck to move pallets to the induction rollers.

    • Utilizes a pallet jack to maneuver pallets within the work area.

    • Completes assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.

    • Willing to undertake additional responsibilities as instructed

    Some requirements:

    • You must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

    • You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skillsSome analytical experience is preferableYou must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day

    • Experience operating a Pallet Jack.

    Shift and Schedule:

    • Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the morning shift, working Monday- Friday (1:00 PM - 6:00 PM). There is an opportunity for overtime as well.
