  • Human Resources Business Partner

    Georgia Power Company, a subsidiary of Southern Company, is seeking an entry-level Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team as a strategic partner to our business. The chosen candidate will serve as a trusted advisor in leveraging HR expertise to consult on various aspects of human resources, tailor strategies to our business needs, manage meaningful projects and contribute to the achievement of company goals by ensuring top-quality HR service delivery. This hybrid role is based at Georgia Power's headquarters in Atlanta, GA, and requires some flexibility for overnight travel on occasion.

    • Serve as a primary HR liaison for designated business units, building robust relationships to integrate HR initiatives and align them with the business culture while recommending strategies to enhance workplace culture and elevate organizational effectiveness.

    • Deliver guidance to management on nurturing employee relations and develop recommendations to proactively address and resolve workplace matters.

    • Provide consultative guidance to ensure a thorough understanding and effective application of HR policies and procedures.

    • Collaborate with HR COEs to spearhead initiatives in succession planning, performance management, training and development, annual compensation reviews and calibrations, employee engagement projects and workforce planning and development.

    • Work in tandem with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure company-wide efforts are aligned for support by the HR Delivery team.

    • Harness data analytics for strategic HR decision-making and planning including optimizing recruitment, retention, employee engagement measures, developing talent, enhancing diversity initiatives, benchmarking compensation, predicting workforce trends, and assessing the impact of HR programs on business outcomes.

    • Act as an intermediary, connecting the business unit with broader HR resources and services as necessary.

    Education and Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.

    Experience:

    • 3 months of HR consulting preferred.

    • Exposure to Oracle preferred.

    • Display consulting abilities across various levels of the organization, from individual contributors to management, with a strong ability to influence, develop, coach, and motivate team members.

    • Develop and apply strong analytical skills, utilizing HR metrics and workforce trends to inform decision-making and align HR strategies with business objectives to create meaningful workforce solutions.

    • Exhibit a flexible approach to manage shifting priorities and multiple tasks while maintaining a commitment to accurate results.

    • Utilize creative and objective problem-solving with a diplomatic approach and a proactive stance on driving and managing change, taking calculated risks when necessary.

    • Forge solid client relationships and deliver adaptive HR consulting services while upholding confidentiality and guiding HR compliance with legal and internal standards.

    • Facilitate engaging presentations, including the administration of meaningful team building solutions.
