Fiber Optic Splicer

Aerotek is hiring on behalf of an electrical company that has job sites across Western Pennsylvania. All positions are long-term and full time.

• This is a 1st shift opportunity.

• Monday thru Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM

• Overtime is offered based on the job site.

• Starting pay is $20.00 - $35.00 per hour; pay depends on experience level.

• Job sites are in various Western Pennsylvania locations; will discuss further upon inquiry.

• Must be okay with traveling up to an hour if needed!

Responsibilities:

• splicing, terminating, and maintaining of fiber optic cables.

• performing cable cut-overs, repairs, and troubleshooting.

• preparing and maintaining cable splice closures and terminations on fiber cables.

• performing testing of completed splices and cable pair termination.

• working with new and existing cable .

• performing cable pair transfers.

Experience Level/Must Haves:

• OSHA 10; this can be set up and completed before starting.

• Experience with fiber splicing.

• Ability to troubleshoot related issues.

• Experience with low voltage.

• Need to have reliable transportation to and from job sites.

• Need to have your electrical tools.

Secondary Skills/Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with fiber optic fusion splicing.
