    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental T echnician to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of routine remediation services, which includes assisting with field oversight of the remedial construction, daily/weekly reporting, weekly progress meetings, community air/noise monitoring and analytical sampling.

    Position will involve being based on an active construction site, this position is for an individual to provide support to the On-site Construction Manager for task discussed above.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Performs routine, and some non-routine tasks for remediation services.

    • Collect samples and maintain documentation in record logs.

    • Assists in testing, calibrating, repairing, and modifying control and instrumentation systems at on-site locations. Some assignments may be undertaken independently.

    • Assists in preparing required field and office reports of various activities and findings. May initiate basic reports.

    • Daily correspondence between engineering, project manager, and the client.

    • Can follow sampling protocol, take precise notes, complete field data entry associated with the sampling event

    • Prepare samples for shipment, complete chain-of-custody documentation

    • Under general supervision, perform a variety of skilled technical duties and semi-skilled labor tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of a groundwater treatment plant

    • Perform assigned treatment plant rounds; inspect, monitor, troubleshoot, test and document plant processes

    • Perform air monitoring per Community Air Monitoring plans

    What Required Skills You'll Bring:

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience soil and water sampling and air monitoring

    • Ability to work closely with various levels of personnel.

    • Good communication skills.

    • Completion of a 40-hour OSHA training course (with an annual 8-hour update) is required.

    • Familiarity with fundamental tasks and testing techniques related to operations.

    • Ability to work in field environment: long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; lifting; recurring bending or similar activities.

    Salary Range

    $14.66 - $24.95

    This position requires a Fit for Duty exam as part of the job requirements. Successful completion of this exam(s) will be required post offer acceptance, prior to you being able to continue in the hiring process and onboarding.
