Electrical Construction Manager

Description

We are looking for an Electrical Construction Manager to support their scope of work at Intel. This individual will oversee the electrical tool install scope. They must have Project Management experience along with field experience specifically in a semiconductor/industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Senior manager of field site operations responsible for manpower allocation, schedule review, Foreman/GF weekly meetings, and coordination with PM admin team

-Project delivery on budget and in a timely manner

-Coordinate and run project meetings (design and construction) with all client

-Review drawings and specifications and other project documents to understand sequence of construction activities. Coordination with End User/ Client to facilitate construction.

-Interface with the subcontractors, government agencies and the client in formal and in-formal settings. Establish and maintain daily contact with appropriate city officials and inspectors.

-Perform on-site inspections for conformance to contract documents. Verify that all inspections are complete and passed by the controlling entity.

-Effectively communicate with designers, gain a strong understanding of what the facilities need and how the equipment works.

-Maintain a safe work site by ensuring that all Subcontractors adhere to good housekeeping regulations and safety requirements, enforcing safe work habits, and observing OSHA and any governmental agencies & regulations. Serve as the Site Safety ambassador.

-Be aware of applicable building codes and OSHA requirements.

-Perform checklists and reports that aid in overseeing all aspects of the construction process.

-Provide updates to the Project Manager as it relates to cost, schedule, and client management for a given project.

-Ensure preparation of front end documentation for design packages, prepare procurement phase schedules using MPP, prepare and submit meeting minutes for client review along with periodic reports to client.

-Perform pre-bid walkthroughs and coordinate with procurement team to get bid packages submitted to Client.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES

-10+ years of CM experience in electrical construction

-Experience in Semiconductor/Industrial setting

-BA/BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering

-Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting electrical plans and specifications with in-depth knowledge of the NFPA codes, solid understanding of current electrical codes and installation methods, and be well-versed in the installation of power systems

-Must be able to reach overhead, lift 50 pounds, and pull and push materials

-Must be able to work in a variety of positions, e.g., stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, etc

-Microsoft Office experience

-NEC Code and understanding of how to apply

-Knowledge and ability to compute electrical construction materials and installation methods

-Knowledge and ability to read construction drawings

-Ability to commit to and meet deadlines

-Knowledge and ability to forecast project costs, working under immediate supervision

-Increasing knowledge and ability to manage multiple job tasks simultaneously

-Very good organizational and communication skills

-Leading crews

-Strong verbal and written communication

-Strong time management skills
