  • Description This Desktop Support Technician role with Robert Half requires a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users. Located in the New York, New York, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term contract / temporary in nature.

    Your responsibilities

    • Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

    • Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions

    • Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

    • Curate records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

    • Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

    • Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

    • Be in contact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters Requirements - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

    • Desktop support or related experience

    • Wide ranging experience with Troubleshoot

    • Experience with Desktop Hardware

    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suites

    • Practical knowledge of Workstation Support

    • Good understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint

    • Prior experience with Verification

    • Microsoft Excel experience

    • Solid understanding of Resolve Issues

    • Compliance Functions experience required

    • Well-founded grasp of Human Resources (HR) Administration

    • Previous experience working with Communication Skills

    • Skills in Microsoft Windows

    • Deep understanding of procedures

    • Quality experience with scanning

    • Compliance experience highly desired

    • Proficiency in Operating System

    • Experience with Assist Customers

    • Foundational knowledge in Technical Support

    • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word

    • Comprehension of Deskside Support

    • General familiarity with Microsoft Outlook

    • Solid understanding of configuration management

    • Customer service experience desired

    • Foundational knowledge in agreements
