  • Description

    As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects in support of the Site Master Plan and facilities upgrades. You will coordinate and lead project activities between Site Services, Information Systems, Telecommunications, consulting firms, outside contractors, and customer groups for capital expenditures as they execute the work necessary to complete projects with appropriate cost, quality, and timing.

    • Engage internal/external resources in early project development to identify potential project issues and risks and create solutions

    • Collect pertinent information and define the projects' tasks and resource requirements for each job and submit an appropriate project funding request

    • Implement and monitor project changes to achieve appropriate project results

    • Provide project management, space planning, and relocation services based on developed space plans

    • Collaborate with the Construction Engineer and Project Superintendent to determine schedule and manpower allocation for project work

    • Follow up with projects post-completion to identify problems, resolve issues, and implement changes or corrections.

    • Support Group Manager, Engineering, Design and Construction, in coordination of capital and expense renovation/move projects.

    Required

    • Minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience

    Expectations for Construction Manager

    o Daily Construction Reports

    o Soft Skills - Microsoft, incident management systems(Enablon), outlook, teams, project scheduling tools , etc

    o Daily site Management of all contractors, Schedule(who, where and when)

    o Issues must be addressed and brought to the build project manager immediately

    o Involvement and engagement in weekly calls with contractors and Cargill team

    o Financial decisions must be brought to and approved by the Build Project Manager

    o Change orders must be reviewed by Construction Manager First, but final approval by Build Project Manager

    o Strong Relationship and alignment with location leadership and Construction Safety Specialist

    o Preferred if they have experience with metal bin jacking construction

    Other

    • Experience in engineering/civil structure is preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is preferred

    o Install conveyor tail support structure/ladders

    o Install tower superstructure

    o Erect bin 91 and associated components

    o Relocate/reorientate aeration fans on Bins 90 & 91 to avoid superstructures

    o Replace damaged aeration trench perforated covers for bin 91

    o Modify/remove bin peak platform guardrail (all bins) as required for installation of bridges.

    o Install bridges, towers, catwalks, ladders

    o Install new conveyor

    o Install Bin Gator Sweep

    o Foundations and Piles

    Electrical

    o Conduit & Wire runs for new conveyors

    o Conduit & Wire runs for lighting

    o Conduit & Wire for Aeration fans

    o Conduit & Wire runs for hazmon

    o Conduit & Wire for bin sweep

    o Lighting fixtures (including Conduit & Wire)
