Job Description:
Accurate and timely billing of HCFA 1500 claims
Understanding of CPT, ICD10, and HCPC coding
Outbound telephone calls to insurance companies for claims resolution
Follow existing billing/collection protocols for reimbursement
Documentation of files with appropriate information
Collaboration/coordination with Utilization Review
Cross-training in Utilization Review
Appeals for denied claims and front/back-end denials
Collection efforts through calls and carrier websites
Review accounts receivable for accurate reimbursement
Manage DME business aspects for insurance verification
Track incoming referrals and responses
Utilize Salesforce for day-to-day responsibilities
Manage high volume telephone calls for prior authorizations, appeals, and updates
Research information for referral submissions and updates
Full-time availability (8:00 am to 5:00 pm, M-F)
Adherence to HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Privacy laws
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
2-5 years of healthcare billing and collections/financial experience
Certified medical coder
High School diploma or equivalent
Worker's Compensation experience
DME experience preferred
Requirements Data Entry, Customer Service, Medical Collections
