We are seeking Machinist with CNC experience to fill the roles of a growing, family-owned, reputable company located in North Houston. Positions are direct-hire and if a better benefits package exists, I have yet to see it.

salary: $52,000 - $73,000 per year

shift: Second

work hours: 4 PM - 12 AM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, setup requirements and production rates.

• Programs the parts and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as feed, speed, pressure variables and coolant flow

• Full understanding on how to measure parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications.

• Requisitions all required tooling such as tool holders, inserts, drills, endmills, etc. that are required to run the job.

• Once the machine is set up and before production begins, run dry cycle to ensure everything is safe and correct before actual production can start

• As discovered, implement new methods of set up, process an manufacturability utilizing the latest technology while ensuring a safe process and a quality product.

The essential functions of this role include

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• Mazak CNC (3 years of experience is preferred)

• Fanuc

• HAAS

• Lathe (3 years of experience is preferred)
