MITRE's Cloud, Network and Digital Service Engineering Department seeks motivated, innovative, and collaborative mid-senior level Cloud Engineers to join our team. Apply your domain expertise to lead and create advanced and secure solutions for various government agencies in partnership with diverse customer groups. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Providing technical advice, management and oversight to federal system migrations in traditional, hybrid and cloud environments;

• Providing guidance to federal sponsors in developing DevSecOps pipelines for increased automation and standardized system/software development cycles leveraging cloud solutions.

• Performing activities leading tasks or projects in collaboration with technical peers to accomplish objectives that address sponsors challenges.

• Contribute to the development of innovative research initiatives within MITRE's Innovation Lab.

Basic Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

• In-depth understanding of IT systems, DevSecOps, software development, and cloud security concepts.

• Familiarity with and ability to apply Automation, Infrastructure as Code, Deployment and/or Cloud Migration solutions to complex business challenges.

• Familiarity with the fundamentals of UNIX and Windows systems administration.

• Demonstrated hands on and design experience developing and applying cloud solutions to include hands-on experience with some or all of the following:

• AWS, Azure, Google and/or Oracle Cloud Services

• microservice architectures and deploying containerized applications using Docker and or Kubernetes.

• configuring and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo and other relational or non-relational databases.

• various DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GitHub, BitBucket, etc.)

• writing scripts using tools, including Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, C++, Shell.

• Demonstrated experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and low-code solutions such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Appian, etc.

• Demonstrated strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal and external personnel.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.

• This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certification(s) in DevSecOps including AWS, Networking, Security, Agile or LEAN approaches

• Experience working in the government sector
