    a. 5-10 years' experience with focus on site development.

    b. 2-5 years' experience in storm water management and drainage engineering

    c. Proficient with Civil 3D

    d. PE licensed.

    SUMMARY: Sr Civil Engineers are licensed professionals that are responsible for providing

    a wide range of management to engineering staff in order to deliver engineering services and

    achieve firm financial and strategic goals. Sr Civil Engineers provide leadership and

    technical expertise within the civil engineering department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Ensuring the financial goals of the firm are met on projects within their control.

    • Works closely with Project Principal to ensure all project goals are met.

    • Providing solid leadership skills both in and outside the firm.

    • Forecasting hours, establishing budgets, and managing project hours and resources to

    achieve profit targets.

    • Providing an accurate account of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time

    entry on a daily basis.

    • Delivering construction document, plans, and specifications.

    • Managing estimated costs of construction project, owner's budgets and owner's

    expectations.

    • Overseeing all services during the Construction Administration phase of a project.

    • Proactively managing issues that arise during any phase of a project, including problems

    creating adversarial situations.

    • Assisting in the development and maintenance of Civil Engineering department

    standards.

    • Maintaining a neat and orderly work area, allowing access to project information to other

    team members.

    • Providing guidance and development to fellow associates as well as mentors junior staff.

    • Observing, promoting, and following Design Safety Program.

    • Observing, promoting, and following Design vision, mission, and core values.

    • Duties of this position must be performed in the office or at the work site of a

    customer, client, or construction location.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise Civil Engineering staff.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering is required.

    • A Professional Engineering, PE license is required.

    • 15+/- years of related experience.

    • LEED Accreditation is a plus.

    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    • Works well in a team environment.

    • Possess strong leadership skills.

    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Is results-oriented with high

    ethical standards and a team attitude, along with a strong ability to present publicly.

    • Skilled in writing wide range of reports, letters, and other documentation with a high

    degree of accuracy.

    • Can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

    • Demonstrates professional knowledge and expertise in all of the areas of service and

    practice.

    • Advanced skills in Project Management software, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

    • Intermediate skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software

    • Can retain and dispense confidential information.

    • Skilled in analyzing information and exercising sound judgment in making design

    decisions that meet Client criteria.

    • Extensive ability to deal in a sensitive and professional manner with a wide range of

    employees, Clients, and vendors. Established ability to maintain client relationships.

    • Has ability to attract Clients due to a presence within the community and the firm.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Must have commercial land development experience
