Certified Surgical Technologist

FlexStaff is looking for a Surgical Tech to work for our client, an ambulatory surgery center in Syosset.

This is a full-time direct hire position! Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. No nights, weekends or holidays!

Pay is $35-$45 depending on experience!

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.

• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as needed.

• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

• Monitor the patient's vital signs and assist with positioning and draping the patient for surgery.

• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as required.

• Handle specimens and send them to the laboratory for analysis.

• Assist with post-operative care, including dressing changes and wound care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Certification as a Surgical Technician is required

• One year of previous experience working as a Surgical Technician in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

The salary range for this position is $35-$45/hour
