    (CNA certification required)

    Shift: typically dayshift

    Weekend: every other weekend requires

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to universal unit activities such as responding to call lights, passing meal trays, and transporting residents.

    • Provide direct resident care as directed by RN and LPN.

    • Maintain a safe environment conducive to resident safety and recovery.

    • Respond to resident needs and calls promptly.

    • Acquire and distribute supplies and equipment to facilitate resident care delivery.

    • Perform routine tests such as resident weights, vital signs, and Intake & Outputs.

    • Provide feedback to RN/LPN regarding resident care and report changes in resident status promptly.

    • Suggest and support changes within the department.

    • Assume responsibility for assignments and view problems as challenges.

    • Demonstrate awareness of behavior on the efficient functioning of the department.

    • Report symptoms and changes in resident's condition to Physician and Director of Nursing.

    • Document resident's general physical condition, areas of concern, emotional, physical, and psychosocial responses, treatments and responses, and protective measures.

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.

    Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

    • Act 34

    • OAPSA
