    The Business Development Manager is a remote opportunity and is responsible for identifying and creating selling strategies within the new business development framework for successful new account generation that meets identified client financial, operational, and other business goals. This role is responsible for creating a pipeline of new opportunity and for consistently achieving new business development and sales goals by identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and closing prospects.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and create selling strategies within the Bunzl new business development framework for successful new account generation.

    • Delivers exceptional results across sales, profit, and strategic objectives

    • Create and maintain a strong pipeline of new opportunities with prospective customers

    • Understand Bunzl's value proposition and execute against it to close new business

    • Ability to communicate, coordinate, and cooperate in leadership, sales and execution efforts across the broader organization

    • Network within the industry to identify potential business opportunities

    • Expand customer list into new/under-indexed segments

    • Partners with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement

    • Support and drive Division led category and product objectives

    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

    Requirements

    • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

    • Successful sales experience in food & beverage, grocery, packaging or another relatable field.

    • Strong track record of sales experience delivering exceptional results

    • Ability to lead people through the development and communication of a shared strategic vision

    • Must be competitive, driven and self-motivated. Strong desire to prospect and close business as a self-starter

    • Ability to think critically/strategically and problem solve using creative solutions

    • Strong financial acumen (understanding impact of targets and objectives, cause/effect of specific actions)

    • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    • Exceptional analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills

    • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required

    • This position will require travel between 50%-75% of the time. This may include the ability to drive a car or travel on public transportation such as trains and airplanes.
