Automotive Test Technician (Onsite Owatonna)

Actalent's customer is looking for an Automotive Test Technician for a project. If you are qualified please apply.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Perform test of new products on vehicles.

• Track and report progress and record pass/fail results.

• Create issues in Jira issues database when tests fails.

• Gather data from failed tests and assist development engineers in problem analysis.

• Work with Engineers to analyze defects.

• Plan, conduct and deliver test results on time.

Minimum Skills and Competencies

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES/SKILLS:

• Experience conducting test and repair in vehicles.

• Familiar with automotive design or manufacture.

• Working knowledge of OBD II and CAN vehicle communication protocols is preferred.

• Experience using automotive diagnostics tools.

• Experience following work orders and test procedures related to shop tools and equipment.

• Ability to communicate effectively to share the test case results.

• Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a 2 year technical degree and 5 years of related product test experience.

• Experience with recording defects in an issues database - Jira is preferred.

• Certified automotive technician or equivalent experience preferred.
