As an Application Engineer, you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

    As an Application Engineer - Protection a typical day might include the following:

    • Maintain and improve knowledge of power systems, protection, and all related SEL products.

    • Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.

    • Applies principles, theories, standard techniques, and concepts to provide solutions to a variety of problems.

    • Participates in SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.

    • Publishes application guides, notes, template guides, software tools, and/or technical conference papers.

    This job might be for you if:

    • You possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree)

    • Typically 2+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and protection

    • Ability to write and speak English coherently

    • Listens carefully; provides positive, helpful and professional communication to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrates composure and professionalism under difficult circumstances.

    • Takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Experiments to find new solutions.

    • Creates a positive and motivating working environment for all.

    Pay Range Data

    We anticipate filling this position as an Application Engineer $69,100 - $108.100 We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
