AFATDS SME (Hybrid)

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a AFATDS SME to provide overall direction and context to capabilities being build in AXS. You will serve in areas applicable to the domain such as Command Posts or Field Artillery formations. This engineer provides guidance on how federal clients assists in breaking down capabilities, provides input to system engineering documentation, assists in agile demo preparations, and supports the program in the field.

Skills and Requirements

Key Technologies

* AFATDS. JADOCS, CPOF, CPC, DDS, etc (Mission Command Systems) is critical.

* Intel data

* Airspace data and deconfliction

Must Haves

* 6+ YOE with Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems (AFATDS)

o Prior DOD military expereince, ideally in Command Post operations, Field Artillery, or Joint Targeting.

* Degree in Software Engineering or related field

* Agile SW program expereince

* Experience communicating system requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Experience with system decomposition and CONOPS for tactical capabilities.

Pluses

* Expereince with AFATDS or JADOCS

* Intel solutions such as DCGS

* Worked with Command Post Systems such as CPOF, JBCP, or CPCE

* Work with user organizations and operational units to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and TTPs that enable the user to make effective use of the prototype solution

* Work with Army, Joint, and Coalition units to understand their network, systems and processes; use that understanding to improve software design and TTPs

Day to Day

* Breaking down AFATDS capabilities in support of Command Post and Field Artillery needs

* Developing CONOPS for the new system

* Supporting Agile Demo Preparation

* Assisting system engineering team in review design documentation

* Assisting the program with field-level demo

* Creating Training and Support documentation

* Identify unit specific data sources and systems needed to be integrated in the SW baseline.

* Capture user stories, customer use cases, and draft System Engineering artifacts representative of more complex customer/user environments and scenarios null
