Accountant, Home Entertainment, Paramount Pictures

We are searching for a highly motivated and exceptional accountant to handle daily mapping and system processing of statements to join the Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment Transactional Accounting team. This position is responsible for accounting functions related to global digital distribution (EST, VOD, etc.). There will be a great deal of interaction with the corresponding team members, and the role will report to the Manager of Accounting.

Overview and Responsibilities:

Review and analyze Digital license agreements (interpret contractual terms; establish revenue recognition requirements; establish billing and payment terms).

Assist with royalty statement ingestion and processing through Media Maestro system.

Research and map high volume product data for third party interface.

Maintain royalty statement tracker and summary log.

Prepare month end journal entries.

Prepare various general ledger account reconciliations.

Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

Contribute to special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field

2 +years related experience preferred (including internships)

Additional Qualifications:

Entertainment industry experience strongly preferred

Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel)

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Self-starter with ability to proactively identify issues and propose resolutions

Excellent written & oral communication and inter-personal skills

Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $60,000.00 - 72,500.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
