Storage Engineer
Position Summary:
The Storage Engineers role is to plan, implement, and administer storage platforms across the enterprise to ensure high levels of data quality, availability, and security.
Responsibilities:
This individual will develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime, and regulatory compliance. The Storage Engineer is also responsible for capacity planning, backup and restore process design, performance analysis, and developing data disaster recovery plans.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science or an analytical discipline or equivalent experience required. A minimum of 3 years of working technical experience with designing, installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise storage systems, including Netapp, and EMC solutions. Demonstrated knowledge of SAN/NAS/DAS technologies and enterprise backup solutions in Fiber Channel and iSCSI/NFS environments. Experience with healthcare application delivery a plus. Knowledgeable in VMWare VM creation and provisioning, tiered storage architecture techniques, theories, principles, and practices. Skilled in project management. Excellent communication skills. Proven analytical, evaluative and problem solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment. Exceptional customer service orientation. Netapp, VMWare, EMC and IBM TSM certifications preferred.
