As a Senior Software Engineer, you will partner with other engineering teams, product, design, infrastructure, and project management to build the services, tools, and libraries that enable innovations in our suite of applications that span web, wearable devices, and mobile.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including development, estimation, planning, and design sessions.
Develop and advise on architecture, systems design, roadmaps and project plans as it relates to multi-channel experiences.
Act as a driving force for constantly improving performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, availability and usability.
Partner with other engineering teams, product, design, infrastructure, and project management
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
3+ years of experience as an engineer in an agile environment on a team of 3+ teammates.
3+ years experience with Java microservices
Knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices
Have experience working at scale utilizing microservices architectures
Experience with high volume Message Queues such as Kafka
Familiarity with AWS and/or other cloud computing platforms
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Experience in all aspects of the software life cycle including providing support and services to other areas of the organization.
Experience managing business expectations and scope as well as providing technology recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
