Research Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Austin, TX: Invent authentication and identification services for clients in the cloud or on premise using mobile devices. Develop and create in artificial intelligence, optical imaging, hardware, software and computer vision to extract and verify the identity and authenticity of objects such as bacteria and chemicals. Use micron and nanometer features with wavelength data to find unique optical patterns, undetectable by the human eye and build these inventions into new products and services. Work with clients in the chemical, and food industries. Create new architectures for deep learning. Work on detecting and modeling microscopic surfaces of 3D objects from high resolution 2D image sequences. Apply computer vision techniques to study different micron level feature extraction. Patent and publish findings in conferences and journals. Make backend rest API's for 3D structure modules in flask Python packages. Utilize AI models and cloud services, deep learning libraries Keras and TensorFlow, Python computer vision library OpenCV, Python library for classic machine learning algorithms Scikit-learn, Python library for processing numerical Data NumPy.

Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing AI models and cloud services, deep learning libraries Keras and TensorFlow, Python computer vision library OpenCV, Python library for classic machine learning algorithms Scikit-learn, Python library for processing numerical Data NumPy.
