The manager will guide team members in all study, design, procurement, and contract issues, ensure projects assigned to staff meet target dates, and evaluate staff s position will take a lead role in implementing the Accelerated Energy Plan (AEP).
The Manager will review recommended changes in project scopes of work for feasibility, necessity, and ability to meet schedule and spending goals. This Manger will review project and financial activity for accuracy,completeness, approve/deny any project budgets. In addition, the manager will instruct and manage all members of project management teams,to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, contract documents & regulations. The Positon will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting agency compliance with all State and Federal regulations for construction. The manager will coordinate DCAM?s tracking and reporting of LEED projects, all coordination of OFM?s role in assisting OPDC with LEED projects. The manager will provide recommendations to the Deputy Director concerning issues of LEED. Qualifications: MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have at least (A) five years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, supervisory or managerial experience in business administration, business management, or public administration and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a managerial capacity.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: None. Preferred Qualifications: 6-10 years experience in managing complex energy/water efficiency projects or other complex construction projects (with LEED or large energy components), as well as project management training. 2-4 years experience managing staff. Experience in developing alternative funding sources. Bachelor?s degree in urban planning, architecture, political science, mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering or energy/environmental policy or management. Master?s degree in urban planning, energy/environmental policy, architecture, mechanical or electrical engineering, public administration. Experience implementing energy/water performance contracting projects. Familiarity with utility markets and Demand-Side Management programs. Experience with energy measurement and verification and/or commissioning. Experience with renewable energy. Certifications: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
Preferred :Accredited Professional, American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), American Institute of Architects (AIA), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Operator Certification (BOC) and/or PE License
