Register patient seeking services in the hospital for outpatient, emergency room & inpatient treatment in friendly, accurate, timely manner. Secures patients accounts by obtaining appropriate demographic, insurance and medical information and enters into the STAR system. Strives to minimize patient wait time prior to patient arrival to the treatment area improving customer satisfaction as it relates to the registration process and general communications. Performs all duties in a manner in which promotes team concepts and reflects Barnabas Health philosophy.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Prior health care background and knowledge preferred. Office procedures, typing and word processing (minimum of 25 wpm), data entry, customer relations, office machinery, medical terminology preferred. Scheduling experience and basic knowledge of coding, billing and insurance preferred.CLOSING:
